With reference to my despatch No.30 of the 9th

instant, I have the honour to report that the third

and final shipment of hand carts for the use of the

British expeditionary force in North China was des-

patched from this port on the 12th instant by the

Japanese Chartered Steamer "Hideyoshi Maru".

I beg to enclose copy of my letter to the Rase

Commandant at Sinho, forwarding this shipment and

also copy of my letter to the Governor of HongKong

referring to the fulfilment of the whole order.
